As predicted, the results of the November 2016 General Election have already had substantial effects upon the nation’s policies and priorities, none more than potential impacts to the water sector. President Trump made it clear during his campaign that he plans to make major investments in the nation’s infrastructure, but already begun rolling back many of the Obama environmental policies such as the Clean Water Rule (aka WOTUS).
While the 115th Congress may be pushing forward some parts of the Trump Agenda, both House and Senate Democrats and Republicans showed deep concerns with the President’s FY18 Budget, particularly drastic cuts to the EPA budget and workforce, especially during recent hearings involving testimony from the EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt. This webcast will dive into a summary and analysis of the first six months of 2017, and what may be expected going forward.
