The Fontana Walworth Water Pollution Control Commission (FWWPCC) is accepting applications for a full-time Wastewater Operator. We’re seeking a motivated individual with a strong mechanical aptitude to join our team. This position is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining all FWWPCC facilities, equipment, and collection systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on treatment plant equipment and collection systems
Collect samples, perform process control testing, record keeping and basic laboratory analysis
Conduct routine facility cleaning, snow removal, and lawn maintenance
Serve as on-call operator for a seven-day period on a rotating schedule (including holidays)

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license
Wisconsin Wastewater Operator Certification (must be obtained within 12 months of hire)

Compensation and Benefits:

Starting pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour, depending on qualifications
Excellent benefits package including paid time off, health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance and retirement (Wisconsin Retirement System)
