Work at Road Dept. and Wastewater Treatment Plant as necessary. Performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled technical and maintenance work in the operation, maintenance and repair of wastewater treatment facilities and systems. Performs a variety of un-skilled and semi-skilled technical maintenance work, and operates a variety of equipment in the operation, repair, and maintenance. Work nights and weekends plowing snow and other emergencies. Operate tractors mowing parks and road sides. Ability to work weekends on a rotation basis for wastewater lab work and any alarms or call as they are received as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or equal is required. Ability to obtain and hold a valid Class BCD CDL drivers’ license with an endorsement ‘N’ for tank vehicles within six (6) months of hire. Ability to obtain a DNR Basic Wastewater Operators License with subgrades in Biological Solids/Sludge Handling, Processing & Reuse, Biological Treatment: Suspended Growth Processes, Disinfection, Laboratory, Nutrient Removal: Total Phosphorus, and Solids Separation within four (4) years. Prefer electrician, CDL or diesel mechanic experience a plus.

Compensation: The Town offers full-time staff members health insurance, participation in the state of Wisconsin WRS system for retirement, and a competitive benefits package. Starting wage for this position will be $30.52/hour without a wastewater certification, more if certified thru the Wisconsin DNR operator certification program. There will be opportunities to increase pay once DNR certification is reached in all subgrades for wastewater.
