NEW Water is seeking an E/I Technician to apply hands-on electrical and instrumentation skills to support critical control systems across its Green Bay and De Pere wastewater treatment facilities and collection system. This position performs predictive, preventive, and emergency maintenance while troubleshooting and maintaining equipment that supports safe, reliable, and compliant plant operations.

Details about the Position:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, program, calibrate, repair, and install electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Perform maintenance on variable frequency drives, PLCs, transformers, switchgear, electrical distribution systems up to 24,900 volts, and generators.
• Conduct failure analysis and diagnose issues within motor control centers, control networks, remote telemetry systems, and process monitoring equipment.
• Make recommendations to improve system reliability, safety, and performance.
• Participate in a rotating standby schedule to respond to after-hours emergencies.
• Record labor, materials, and detailed repair summaries in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Update electrical schematics, P&ID drawings, and system documentation.
• Follow safety policies, identify and mitigate hazards, participate in safety training, and support lockout/tagout procedures.
• Support the safe and efficient operation of NEW Water’s facilities and help ensure environmental compliance.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree (or equivalent) in Electro Mechanical Technology, Electrical or Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related field, or completion of a State Apprenticeship Program in Industrial Electrician, Instrumentation, Electrical/Instrumentation, or a related field.
• Successful completion of a general E/I aptitude test. An equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience will also be considered.
• 6 years of experience.

Compensation:

• Hiring Range: $34.41 - $40.47 per hour
• Full Salary Range: $34.41 - $48.57 per hour
